“Rising Tides” is a full-length concert and reception featuring Japanese traditional music and performing arts in the San Francisco Bay Area

Join us for a concert featuring new solo, duet, and ensemble performances by a group of Bay Area performers of Japanese traditional music and performing arts. The work will be presented at Chevron Auditorium on March 21, 2026 and will include performances by the Northern California Gagaku Group, along with instruments such as Taiko (Japanese drumming), shakuhachi flute and western flute, and will be followed by a community reception with members of the AAPI and Japanese traditional music community.
